coursing and racing

On the coursing field and on the racing track the dogs are marked by coursing or racing jackets. In Europe the prescribed colours for coursings are white and red or blue and red, dipending on the national coursing reglements.
On the racing track six different numbers and colours are used by the FCI: 1 red, 2 blue, 3 white, 4 black, 5 yellow (in UK professional Greyhound racing orange), 6 white with black strips. The jackets number 1, 3, and 2 are also allowded for national coursing.
